Sailing Beyond the Horizon

This year, the Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Student Association (ITASA) West Coast Conference will be held in San Diego, a first for this conference. This year's conference theme is "Sailing Beyond the Horizon", which is meant to empower and encourage Taiwanese American college peers to embrace their identities through the learning and understanding of Taiwanese history and culture. The conference has special guest speakers (Will Tiao - writer and actor of Formosa Betrayed and Wong Fu Productions), workshops, networking, and even a night market!

Although this is a collegiate level conference, you are still welcome to register and attend. Regular registration is only $40, and that includes several meals, tickets for the night market and entrance into the after party. FYI: the night market is open to anyone, and tickets can be bought at the event.

TAP-SD will be participating in the conference in a several ways. Three organizers of TAP-SD (Walter Chung, Paul Chen and Kevin Jung) will be leading workshos on Saturday afternoon. Later in the afternoon, TAP-SD will also have a table at the "Giving Back Involvement Fair".
Walter Chung - Session 3: Weathering the Storm (11:00am - 11:50am)
Paul Chen - Career Panel: Waves of Change (1:00pm - 1:50pm)
Kevin Jung - Session 5: Setting Sail
