**** edit **** This is open to everyone and not just ITASA conference people. Food tickets can be bought there.

The ITASA (The Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Student Association) West Coast Conference is coming to San Diego. On the Friday night of the conference, they are having a Night Market! Here's what the conference web site says about the event:

For those who miss home-made traditional dishes and the hustle and bustle of Taiwanese night markets, we are recreating the atmosphere of the night market and bringing it to you at the ITASA WCC at UCSD! An assortment of UCSD's organizations will come together to prepare their own traditional dishes for you to enjoy. We plan on hosting this special event on UCSD's Library Walk, where there is plenty of space to set up canopies, grills, and tables. Conference-goers will receive a number of raffle tickets during registration for which they can exchange for food at the night market. There will also be an option to purchase more raffle tickets for more food. There will be plenty of exotic and tasty foods, so come fulfill your craving for those traditional, home-cooked dishes!

We're posting this event mainly for your information. However, I work at UCSD, and since I plan to go to the Night Market after work, I can be the host for the event. I can give a tour of the areas close to the night market area for those interested. This can include the Tapioca Express and Yogurt World on campus =)

Note: UCSD does not have free parking until after 11pm, so expect to pay about $4 for parking. You can park off campus and ride a bus in for less. I would recommend carpooling.
