TAP-SD: Meditation Workshop

Join TAP-SD in a virtual meditation workshop to provide your mind some much needed peace!

During these challenging times, we have all needed to adapt to sudden disruptions in our normal lives. Sometimes we’re feeling okay, and other times we’re not doing so well. With this in mind, TAP-SD has teamed up with a meditation instructor for an introductory meditation event. Come join us to learn some meditation techniques that can hopefully provide some much needed peace in your mind! Our instructor will explain the meditation techniques and lead short 3-5 minute meditation practices during the session. Please make sure you will be in a comfortable and quiet place to sit for the practice.

Shiying Chenxing has been learning and practicing meditation since 2004, after joining a Buddhist center in Maryland. She has extensive knowledge in both shamatha and vipashyana meditation techniques. Over the years, she has held meditation workshops in her office and also provided weekly beginners’ meditation sessions at the Buddhist center. She believes meditation is one thing in life that everybody should learn and preferably practice on a routine basis, just like physical exercise.

Shiying is very pleased to have the opportunity to meet with our TAP-SD members who’re interested in meditation and to share her knowledge and experience.
