Mammoth Ski/Snowboard Cabin Trip

This trip is for all skill levels from novice to advanced!  

ITINERARY

Friday, April 1

• 4 - 10 AM: Drive to Mammoth
• 10 AM - Sundown: Ski/Snowboard
• Evening: Dinner + Cabin Fun

Saturday, April 2 

• 10 AM - Sundown: Ski/Snowboard!
•  Evening: Dinner + Cabin Fun

  Sunday, April 3 

• 10 AM - 4 PM: Return to San Diego

LOGISTICS

Target Group Size: 8 - 12 people

Carpool: Best to carpool in SUVs by attendees or rented so that gear (e.g, snowboard, skis, boots, etc.) can be easily stored in the back.  TAP-SD will coordinate the carpool for everyone's convenience.

Cabin/Lodging:  Goal is to book an AirBNB or similar for the entired group within walking distance of the gondola in Mammoth Village.  Definitely looking forward to having a hot tub and getting to know your fellow cabinmates better!

Equipment & Classes: Bringing your own equipment is encouraged! You can rent ahead of time at REI in San Diego or rent on the slopes for a higher cost.  Mammoth is great for beginners if you'd like to take a class from a professional!

Other Planning: We will set up a group chatroom for the participants to discuss logistics of this trip!

COSTS

Shared Expenses: The group will split Carpool, Lodging, and Shared Snacks/Drink costs.  We'll use Splitwise to keep things tidy!  Estimated shared expenses is $200-300/person

Individual Expenses: are responsible for their own non-shared meals, lift tickets, and equipment costs.  Purchasing lift tickets ahead of time is recommended so you can quickly pick them up on the slopes.

RSVP Deposit: $50 that will go toward the shared expenses. Deposit is refundable through March 20, after which your spot can only be swapped with another attendee.

COVID-19

Vaccine Policy: Proof of vaccine completion is required to attend the event. Recommended proof of vaccine completion: (https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/). Fully vaccinated persons are those who are ≥14 days post completion of the primary series of an FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine.

Testing: Prior testing is highly encouraged, we'll have a handful of rapid tests available.
